Work day in Colombia in Colombia, used to have a revolutionary connotation,

because it began to be celebrated in 9014, like a day to have fun. And children
would take part in it, as well.
Many people from different parts of the work field, take part in this important
event.
One cannot say, that this is a way to celebrate, but to protest and ask the
government for better working conditions.
Work day in Colombia is held on May every year, May 1st. A lot of parades
are held on this this day by many unions, such as Central Unica de
Trabajadores (CUT), The general Confederations of different Unions, (like
la Confederacion General de Trabajadores (CGTB), la confederation de
trabajadores de Colombia. (CTC) and finally the Condereracion of educator in
Colombia (FECODE).
These events take place with a parade to manifest about the employees
situation in Colombia, due to the high ranking of unemployment in Colombia.
And for this for the bad payment of Worker in Colombia, in relation to the
high cost of life in the Country. Taking into account education, work
conditions, people`s health, the equality of rights which defends work
conditions.
Thorough out the years these protests have increased, always towards the most
fundamental human rights. Claiming for better work conditions and a better
quality of life in general.
On the other hand, the Latin people take advantage of this take to celebrate a
country day, with barbecues and sports event, for a better world.
In many Countries, such as U.S. This day is celebrated on a different day.
