To Whom It May Concern,
I have the pleasure of having Yessica Abarca in my senior Economics and Government class at
El Capitan High School. Yessica is an active participant in class discussions and always supports
and challenges her peers to improve. Her caring nature and personality allow her to work well
with others in a team setting, as she always respects others' opinions even when they differ from
her own. She is a great example for others to follow.
Yessica is a very responsible and hardworking student; she has never shied away from any
difficult course work and has worked very hard during the four years she has attended El Capitan
High School. While attending high school, Ms. Abarca has served as the Vice President of the
Desire to Inspire Club, been a member of both the Environmental Science Academy and
Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program.
I highly recommend her for admission to your undergraduate program. She is talented, caring,
intuitive, dedicated, and focused on reaching her goal to become an elementary teacher. Ms.
Abarca, has informed me that it has been a lifelong dream to attend college and she has been
working for years to accomplish this goal as she will be the first in her family to attend college.
