Red Cross/Red Crescent: The red cross and Red Crescent is a global humanitarian
movement that helps those in the midst of disaster, death and health/social problems.
Their key countries of operation include Afghanistan, Iraq, Lake Chad, Somalia, South
Sudan, Syria and Yemen; but they are willing to help all regions across the world.

Doctors without borders: An organization that helps people worldwide. They deliver
emergency medical services to people affected by epidemics, disasters or exclusion
from health care. They mostly provide services to Central Africa, Nepal, Afghanistan,

Greenpeace: An independent global campaigning organization that acts to change
attitudes and behaviors towards protecting the environment. They do this by creating an
energy revolution, protecting ancient forests, defending oceans, aiming for a sustainable
agriculture and a toxic free future. They mostly work in Canada, but worldwide as well.

YWCA/YMCA: An organization that focuses on community health; whether it be
physical, mental or social. They provide programs like camps, aquatics, employment,
education and more to support these local needs and diversity. They provide these

Citizens for local Democracy (C4LD): C4LD was a non-partisan citizen action group
that emerged in December 1996. They formed to oppose the provincially-imposed
municipal. They were also involved in a wide range of other issues; notably the
provincial initiatives trying to radically restructure the education and health systems in

Canadians and works together for safety, peace and justice. After ten years of service

Goodwill Industries: A non-profitable organization that provides employment, skills


development and support to those who suffer social and disability disadvantages. They
create jobs and platforms for donations, recycling and benefits. Goodwill also serve

as youth at risk, the aged, Aboriginals and newcomers to Canada.

Street Kids International: A non-profitable organization that focuses on providing
street youth with the opportunity to lead a safer, better life. They do this through three
main programme avenues: street health, street work and street rights. Street Kids
international has now expanded into the UK; providing services for both Canada and the

National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People (NAACP): NAACP
is an African-American civil rights organization in the United States. Their mission is to
ensure that the political, educational, social and economic equality remains and the

Oxfam: An international confederation of 18 organizations that work together to fight
poverty. They help rebuild communities that have been demolished by crises and
promote those events to gain support. Oxfam continues to help out more than 90

International PEN: An organization that promotes literature and freedom of
expression. They extend their help to the whole world, but mostly Syria and Iran, to
ensure all children receive an education. PEN also documents attacks, killings, arrests

Amnesty International: A global movement that tackles injustice and fights for
personal freedom. They fight abuse, bring torturers to justice and free jailed humans;
who only get arrested for voicing their opinion. Their organization helps all around the
