THEORIES OF MOTIVATION

1. What specifics types of motivation have you witnessed in your practice centers?

Following the provided paper about Theories of Motivation I have witnessed two out of three
types of intrinsic motivation types, which are:
-To learn (engaging in an activity for the pleasure and satisfaction of understanding something
new, satisfying ones curiosity and exploring the world) and towards achievement (engaging in an
activity for the satisfaction of surpassing oneself, coping with challenges and accomplishing or
creating something). Now talking about extrinsic motivation types I have witnessed two out of
four types, which are:
-External regulation (refers to the least self-determined form of extrinsic motivation, coming
entirely from external sources such as rewards or threats) and identified regulation (occurs when
the person engages in an activity because she or he highly values and identifies with the behavior,
and sees its usefulness).

2. In your opinion which types of motivations do you really have? Why? Give examples.

was interested, since in his French classes they were speaking of other cultures and others French
speaker countries.
