October 21, 2016 Dear Francis Reh Families: As part of our ongoing commitment to keep you informed of any incidents that ‘occur at the academy, we write to notify you of an incident that occurred yesterday afternoon, At dismissal time, a student came forward reporting that another student brought a firearm in their backpack to school. The backpack was confiscated by ‘administration and the police were notified immediately. The police arrived, confiscated the weapon and took the student into custody. At no time was there any threat made to any student or staff member; everyone is safe, This is a reminder that Francis Reh has a zero tolerance policy regarding weapons; they are strictly prohibited on campus. The consequences of bringing a weapon to ‘campus will result in immediate notification of authorities and student expulsion, ‘The safety and security of our students and staff is at the forefront of all we do. ‘We ask that our staff, students and our Francis Reh community contribute to our goal of maintaining a safe and secure environment that is conducive to learning at all times. \We thank you for your adherence to our policies and your ongoing commitment to Francis Reh and we assure you that our students and staff are safe.
