Examples of Cross-curriculum lessons, drills and exit tickets:

1. If you could create a President (through Mutation) what traits would your President have?
Drill:
Observe the experiment.
How can you relate this to something we have studied in class?
There can be more than one correct answer.
2. Tableau
Recreate the scene in the painting and be prepared to describe the perspective and conflicts
present for each individual.
3. Halloween Drill:
Create a Conversational Poem between 2 of the first 5 Presidents and connect it to a Halloween
aspect.
Be sure it references your knowledge of the Presidents.
Ex. GW: "TJ, cross the Delaware River with Hamilton and meet me in Philly."
TJ: "George, you must be bats, I'm not going anywhere with that silly."
GW: "He is but a skeleton of me. You can handle it."
TJ: "Hamilton is a poison and I'd rather battle the Cabinet"
GW: "Are you afraid to take a chance?"
TJ: "I'm getting on my cape and broom and heading to France!"
4. Drill for 10/31:
Mix up a poison of bad blood based on historical people, events and ideologies that we have
discussed.
You must have 5 facts in your cauldron.
Example:
1 cup of Jefferson, 1 cup of Hamilton
2 cups of British Tea
1 pint of King George
1/4 cup of Monroe Doctrine
1/2 cup of the Sons of Liberty
