The Strength Within Me
Here I stand and I stand strong
I am standing strong because I was once weak
Life is like a roadway full of minefields with bumps along the way
By taking one wrong step everything in front of you can blow up
These events that I call harsh and challenging have allowed me to
stand strong
Without challenges and harsh times I would remain weak
I was once weak, but now I have bloomed
I was once weak, but now I radiate as bright as the sun
I was once weak, but now I am wise
I was once weak, but now I am stable
I am as stable as a foundation of a strong building
My foundation comes from being pushed down
My foundation comes from feeling like my only choice was to give up
My foundation comes from feeling like all I had left to do was run
My foundation comes from being told I cant
And my strength comes from me saying I will
I am strong because I have confronted my hardest challenges

I am strong because I have defied my conscious telling me that I am

weak
I am strong because I have learned it is okay to not be okay
I am strong because I have learned to love
I am strong because I have learned to listen
I am strong because I have learned to be passionate and to never give
up
Failure is inevitable but it is how we treat it to determine what we get
out of it
Like a tree I have grown because of my roots and strong foundation
Through love and pain people say there find their way
Because of this, here I am standing strong
