Education
Sacramento State Graduate: December 2014
Major: History/ pre-credential
Education is a continuous process. I have applied to the credentialing
program for teaching and have completed all of the prerequisites. With
this degree I have taken classes from several different time periods
and topics. These classes have given me a wide variety of material
that I can use for parts of my curriculum.
Work Experience
Sacramento History Museum (September 2015-current):

Tour Guide
I work with Students of all ages

I have the opportunity to work with school age children and I have
done tours with school field trips. Having this experience allows me to
come up with creative ideas to make the material fun and interactive
to keep the interest of the students, and allows me to interact with
different types of students. With the school fieldtrips I am teaching the
students about the gold rush, which covers part of the fourth grade
curriculum.
Navy Reserve (February 2015-February 2021):

Training: February- April 2015

My contract requires one weekend a month and two weeks a year.

Going through training, I was taught to follow orders and to do them
without question. Arriving early was the norm to quote the instructors,
If your early your on time, if your on time your late. I graduated from
training with distinction and was honored for it. (See Attached) I have
been promoted to a non-commissioned officer and have been put into
a leadership position. The reserves have taught me to handle stress
and pressure, as well as achieving goals in a timely manner.
Taco Bell (December 2008- January 2015):

Developed people skills

Worked with students as they came in after school

The experience I have acquired from working here has given me the
job ethics of working hard. Over time I had developed people skills that
I will need to use in teaching, such as dealing with upset people, fixing
mistakes, and moving from one task to another quickly. I was offered a
management position, but I turned it down because school was more
important.
