History

In 1878, Jean-Baptiste Combier and his wife Josephine who lived in Saumur, France invented the recipe
the of Original Combier, the worlds first triple. Over the years, many have attempted to imitate the
authentic taste of Original Combier using synthetic flavoring, shortcuts in the production and distillation
process, or alterations in alcohol content .
Triple sec was certainly widely known by 1878; at the Exposition Universelle of 1878 in Paris, several
distillers were offering "Curaao triple sec" as well as "Curao doux"

Description
Triple sec means triple distilled. It is a strong, sweet and colorless orange flavored liqueur.
Ingredient:
It is made from the dried peel of oranges found on Curacao, an island in the Caribbean.
Famous Brands:
Curacao, Grand Marnier and Cointreau are some of the popular triple sec's.
Etiquette of serving
Original Combier is best enjoyed by itself over fresh ice or in any classic or modern cocktail that calls for
triple sec or orange liqueur.
Quality standard: 80 proof
