CAS Stages - complete questions below:
1) Investigation - what are your goals for this CAS experience?
My goal for this experience is to go out into the community and assist persons that may
have been affected by Hurricane Matthew with food donations, water donations, ice
donations, etc.
2) Preparation - briefly identify your plan of action and include an approximate
timeline.
I plan to go out into the Freeport community on some Saturdays and after school on
weekdays with a team from Rotary and assisting locals with things they may need,
especially after Hurricane Matthew left its mark on our island. Some of the main items
Rotary will be donating are, ice, water and food. I plan to volunteer for about five weeks
with Rotary Freeport.
3) Action - how will you accomplish your goals? Who will be involved?
I will accomplish my goals by getting permission from a Rotary club member to
volunteer with them in assisting the community. I will speak to the Rotary President for
Freeport, Grand Bahama, Mr. Darren Cooper and make arrangement plans with him to
assist with their food donations, water donations and ice donations.
4) Reflection - what were your expectations? What did you hope to gain from this
experience? What did you learn? What are your next steps? How are the Learner Profile
attributes incorporated?
I expect to spend more than three hours riding through Freeport neighborhoods with the
rotary team, giving out foods to persons that may be in need of it. I hope to gain a better
understanding of the effects of Hurricane Matthew on the Island of Grand Bahama and
also learn how I can be a greater assistance to those that may be in need of help after
being affected by the storm.

5) Demonstration - what evidence will you use to show you have completed your
goals?
I will take photos whiles I am assisting with the food donations to serve as evidence of
me completing my goals.
