John Henry Traditional

In the poem John Henry the main character John Is a

caring person. For example He doesn't have much but he
gets the money and for his wife.. John Henrys wife ask
him for fifteen cents, And he said he didnt have but a
dime,Said, If you wait till the rising sun goes down, Ill
borrow it from the man in the mine,Ill borrow it from the
man in the mine.Pg[296] So John also gives his son
advice about what he should be when he grows up and to
be a good man when he says John Henry had a little
baby boy, you could hold him in the palm of your hand.
The lasts words before he died son, you must be a steel
driving man ,son,you must be a steel driving man. Also
another example can be. John Henry had a little woman,
And the dress she wore was red, She went down the
railroad track and never come back, Said she was going
where John Henry fell dead,Said she was going where
John Henry fell dead.Pg[297] This means that John and
her wife hade a good relationship and they both loved
each other. Therefore he is a caring person bye caring for
his family.
