Hazard and Risks

Hazards are anything that can potentially cause harm to anyone working the in
the organization or the public. Hazards may be identified through inspections of
the work area, monitoring of reported incidents and keeping up to date with OHS
issues. Risks are the likelihood that a potential hazard will result in injury or
disease.
Reducing Risk in a Workplace
To reduce risk within a workplace it is important to report any hazard that could
cause harm to yourself or others. To reduce risks within the workplace ensure
that you conduct your job correctly and effectively. Ensure that all hazardous
equipment is put in the appropriate place and out of harms way.
