1 portion of white fish, chickon or egg.
1 large helping of any of vegetables.
1 Uneeda Biscvit-use butter on alternate days. “
Coffee,Tea or Milk, as at Breakfast.
1 cup Lemon Jello, if desired.
EVENING MEAL:
Small glass tomato,orange or lemon juice,no sugar added.
Small portion of any meat-no fat. Never pork.
1 Large helping of any of Vegetables.

(2) iggNBRAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING DIETS GIVEN
As a rule, the STRICT DIET 1s followed until such time thet the
weight has been reduced(1# to 2 pounds a week average)to the esti-
mated OPTIMUM WEIGHT (see page (1-)+
After that weight is reached, then the AVERAGE DIET 1s followed
to hold that weight; and any increase of more than 10% above the 4
OPPIMUM WEIGHT means that the STRICT DIET mst again be followed.
tn preparing SOUPS or Broths, no thickening is to be added.
In taking stewed Fruits-none of the liquid is to be taken.
Meats are best prepared as Roast or Broiled.
Do not vse cracker meal or flour in preparing the Fish allowed,
which consist of Halibut, Filet, Mackerel. If Tuna is desired use
2 level Tablespoons{} as « portion; if Sardines-use 4 - without
the of] it is packed in,
qf a Salad of Lettuce and Tomatoes are desired, use vegetables ~~]
as ordered-but only Lemon Juice and Mineral 0411 are used as dressing.
Drink no more than 3 glasses of cool water daily-less, if appetite
4s increased, Keep bowels active. If too active or hunger is great,
or there is nervousness or weakness, take one small piece of hard
candy each hour.
TAKE A SLOW WALK FOR ABOUT TWENTY MINUTES TWICE EACH DAY.
As a change, after the weight is gradually being reduced, the
STRICT DIET may be taken on Mondays, Wednesdays & Sundays--the
AVERAGE may be taken on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Just so long as the weight loss is about 1# to 2 lbs. weekly-more
days with the use of the AVERAGE DIET may be had. If weight loss
4s not enough take more days with the STRICT DIET. Weigh yourself
once weekly on the same scale. Do not become impatient--Rapid
Reduction 1s improper.
