1. In your handout, I listed Cause and Effect as one of the elements of the organization
of the dramatic action. Give two examples of Cause and Effect in tonights play please
be detailed and specific with your examples.
2. As we discussed in class, the Rising Action establishes motivation and obstacle, what
is the major conflict? What is the climatic scene? Was there a resolution? If so, how
was the conflict resolved? If not, was it still a satisfying story? Why?
3. Transformation is one of the most important elements in story. In your opinion, who
or what was transformed in this play? How?
4. What is the plays universal truth? (What the play is about, not what happens.) Is
there a clear-cut message? If not, how is significance conveyed? Use specific
examples from tonights production.
5. How did the various theatrical elements (setting, costume, lighting and sound)
enhance this production? Did any aspect of design hinder the production in any way?
Give specific examples.
