1. I think the graffiti represents the culture primarily because its talking about women. All of the
paintings both show and evoke raw emotion. It shows the struggles that women primarily in their
community go through. The first women being interviewed said something that stayed on my
mind throughout the whole video. She said its hard to go through the trash and look for your
son. And it stuck with me because Its the highlight of story. It lets you know not only what
women in their country are going through.
2. I think it says that women are strong. One of the pictures was a womens eyes, drawn in
grayscale. And the emotion that I thought she was feeling, (based on what the other lady said
about their army committing murders) was astonishment. Not in a good way but like seeing
something that scares you or something like a fear you never wanted to see.
3. No, I feel like locking someone up for drawing is a very petty offense. Its self-expression and in a
way, freedom of speech. I dont think it would be ok just to draw on someones place of business,
but I think that painting brings forth a sense of awareness for what someone is thinking or feeling.
