To who it may concern:
I think that it isnt fair that we are selling
Nike shoes for over $100 and the people that
are making them are working 16 hours a day
and get around $2 a day. The average price for
Nike shoes are over $100. The daily pay in
Indonesia is $3.50.the minimum wage in the
U.S. is $7.25. Based on the amount of money
Nike shoes are being sold you should be able to
pay your workers better wages.
All over the globe, Nike employs more than
1 million workers in approximately 841
different factories. The U.S. is currently home
to 66 of these factories and employs 8,151
men and women. Comparatively, Indonesia, a
smaller and poorer country, has only 40
factories, yet employs 171,276 workers- the
majority of which are young women and
children. Workers at VN Nike shoe
manufacturing plants make on 20 cents an
hour or $1.60 per day. An average of $1.60 a
day isnt enough because at least $3.00 a day

is needed to survive. Workers are expected to

work 60 to 70 hours a week.
So what you can do to change that is pay your
workers more because they already are
expected to work 60 to 70 hours a week and
get $1.60 a day. All the money that you sell
your shoes for should be split up among your
workers. Thats why I feel the workers deserve
more.
