NBAL VALVE SERIES 500 511 - Threaded (core type) 533- 599 - Wafer 511-6-- Threaded (cage type) Flanged The Inbal Valve series 500 is a pressure operated, sleeve actuated, in line, axial valve. The revised, advanced design makes the Inbal 500 valve truly universal - ideally suited to perform in a wide range of applications. The Inbal Valve series 500 consists of four major components: The valve housing, resilient sleeve, core and ends, ‘The resilient sleeve is the only moving part and it forms a scaled chamber in the external portion of the valve separating operating pressure from line pressure. The plastic core which is corrosion proof, forms a drip tight seal with the resilient sleeve’ when line pressure is applied to the control space. The hydrodynamic design of the core and the ends assures a streamlined flow and reduced cavitation. When the pressure in the control space is lower than the line pressure the Inbal Valve holds stable inter- mediate position regardless of flow rate requi- rements. The Inbal Valve series 500 is used as the basic valve in many of Mil automatic valves. The simplicity of design and the excellent flow characteristics assure optimum control when used in piping systems requiring remote control, solenoid operation, pressure regulation, rate of flow and level control. VALVE HOUSING END. RESILIENT SLEEVE CORE ‘Tight closing operation When pressure from the valve inlet (or an equivalent independent operating pressure) is applied to the contro! space, the Inbal valve closes bubble tight. The spokes safely envelope the resilient sleeve and give full support, Full open operation ‘When pressure in the control space is allowed to exhaust to atmosphere, the Inbal valve opens wide. The sleeve is safely enveloped by the housing. Modulating action A stable throttling position is obtained when a quantity of pressurized fluid is held in the control space. The amount of fluid in the control space determines the Position of the sleeve, Thus when the control space is only partly full the valveis in a partial open or throttling Position and will remain in this position until fluid is either added or removed from the control space. The control space can be alternately filled or exhausted 1 atmosphere to achieve the desired operating condition. Product Features * The Inkl Vive 50 contains no springs vers stems shafts, guides or other bearing surfaces. The only moving part is the resilient sleeve. * Excellent throttling characteristics under low flow and. high differential pressure conditions. * Lowturbulence flow pattern assures very low pressure loss and high flow capacities * Symmetrical design. The Inbal valve allows flow either direction with the same flow characteristics. + Inbal valve closes drop-tight even on entrapped solids. * Inbal valve does not stick after being left for prolonged periods in closed position. * High pressure rating - Inbal valves are efficiently but ruggedly designed, Flow Chart Sie ‘a 0 a0 10 wer ore * High corrosion resistance - epoxy coating supplied as standard, * A variety of materials to handle various applications and fluids * Inbal valves are compact and installed in tight positions wit rements. * Every Inbal valve is factory tested * A ariety of controlsystems, wide range of pilot valves and accessories are available to meet your system needs. ghtwigh.-They can be ith low support requi- Flow Factors Valve Size ‘mm inch Ky Cy 4 I 45 32 0 eS BT 130 200280 500 mam fercie ir 83" 180 209 6° 8 10" 12 inch gage) 22 1s) 6" 650.754 200 8" 1150 1334 25010" 1425 1653 30012" 2955 2384 To define the head los tra an Inbal vale ata specie flow rat ase the folowing quan or water ony Ap © Ap = & ‘AP=Pressuredrop AP = Pressure drop a! inbar. inp cp Sale oe Q= Flow rate in Q= Flow rate in Soe at tacts ae ee mb pn Kv= Flow fastor Cy = Flow factor (use table above) Purchase Specifications This valve shall be a pressure operated, sleve actuated, in line, axial valve, It shall consist ofa resilient sleeve whichis the only ‘moving part.
