Poster on Innate lymphoid cells
Innate lymphoid cells (ILCs) are a recently described family of lymphoid effector cells that have important
roles in immune defence and tissue remodelling. They have been categorized into three groups (ILC1s,
ILC2s and ILC3s) based on their cytokine production and transcription factor expression. These groups
have been proposed to represent innate homologues of effector T cell subsets. Unlike effector T cells,
ILCs are not activated by antigen, but respond to stress signals, microbial triggers and the cytokine milieu.
Dysregulation of ILCs can contribute to various immune pathologies and autoimmune diseases.
This poster provides a visual summary of our current understanding of the development, classification,
plasticity and functional diversity of ILCs.

Immunomodulatory Drugs
Immunomodulatory drugs (IMiDs), including thalidomide and its derivatives lenalidomide

and pomalidomide, are currently used to treat multiple myeloma and other types of cancer.
Lenalidomide is also effective in the treatment of myelodysplastic syndrome. The molecular
bases for the clinical effects of IMiDs have been uncovered in a series of landmark research
articles, which are presented in this collection along with related reviews and commentaries
from Nature journals.
