“Read guitar magazines” Guitar magazines have alot of cool stuff, but they also have allot of “filler”. The one thing hate about guitar magazines is that they are extremely complex (not for beginners). The articles, stories and advice are coo! but some of the lessons are intense! The advanced guitar lingo having to do with intervals of certain modes and technical guitar talk gots fo me sometimes. it's nice to know that stuff but chhhahhh.... it can bs boring. “Go to concerts” Nothings more inspiring then going te a concert and coving someone rock out on stage and totally impress the crowd. | remember a couple of years ago: | went to Van's Warped Tour. Immediately after the show, as soon as | got home, | ran to my room and tried learning allot of the songs | had heard. When | saw The Eagles back in October of 06, | couldn't stop |earning all their songs. Its amazing to be extremely inspired and motivated once again about playing guitar and going to concerts definitely rejuvenates my interest in playing guitar. “Buy concert DVD's” if you've never seen any ACDC music video or concert DVD... then we definitely need to talk. Angus Youngis an amazing guitarist and I's just amazing to see that this scrawny little Australian guy can play like he does and with euch attitude and soul. Seeing that guy rip uo the fret board definitely shows us that anyone can play guitar... all it takes is practice, discipline, motivation and commitment. Concert DVD's are great because they show you up close and in really good quality what exactly a guitarist is playing, unlike music videos where bands just dance around and they addin the music
