Grading Philosophy
I believe that grades do not always show the ability of students, therefore, I will strive to differentiate
learning environments to best fit students.
I believe that students should have opportunities to show what they have learned, therefore, I will strive
to give them those opportunities.
I believe that an assessment does not paint the entire picture of a students knowledge, therefore, I will
strive to vary assessments to better fit all students needs.
I believe grading should never be emotionally driven, therefore, I will strive to never have an emotional
factor in my grading.
I believe homework is practice, therefore, I will strive to take effort into account when grading it.
I believe some students may struggle with assessments of their learning, therefore, I will strive to
present topics in a variety of ways.
