Assessment Plan

Student will be assessed through their entry-level, formative and summative work. EntryLevel is about me learning what the students what to know by asking What questions do you
have about Mesoamerican and/or the Andean civilizations ? I can ask follow up question to see
what they already know. For formative I will start by giving them a quick powerpoint and guided
notes I do not want to give them all answer because they will need to do research for later
assessments. For Formative they will have a guided notes to fill out as they follow along with the
Powerpoint. After that, they will take a quiz as homework and print it out so that I can see if they
understood the basics. The Webercise- Research for Indian Jones will show me that they have an
idea of what they should be looking for their presentations. The Graphic Organizer-University
Update will show me that they are on track to finishing their presentations and preparing for the
test, the Graphic Organizer is also designed to get the students working together to teach each
other about their section before presenting to the class. For Summative the students will present
their presentations with their group. the last thing in the Unit will be their test where I will be
able to assess that my students understood the standards by getting a C (20 questions) or
higher.
