One of the greatest privileges I have in my work is to work with teens

and young adults and help them grow in their faith and discover Gods plan for
their lives. It always amazes me how
these teens give themselves to
Christian service. Last month a coworker and myself took six teens to
CEFs International Headquarters in
Warrenton, MO for their GUIDE
retreat. A weekend retreat to help
people discover Gods plan for their
life, be encouraged, and learn about
the many opportunities to serve God
within CEF. It was a great time for
everyone involved. While I was
greatly blessed by our teens and teens
in the small group I lead, God gave me
a blessing I did not expect.

At the first meal I ran into

Jessica Kiser whom I had worked with in West Virginia. She told me that she
too had brought someone to GUIDE. At first I did not recognize the teenager
but then she told
me her name was Jasmin. I had first met
Jasmin at girl scout sleep over when she was
in eighth grade and she had been a summer
missionary the following year. Now she was
a senior in high school searching for Gods
plan in her life.
I was so
encouraged
that this girl
who I had
known so
many years
ago was still pursuing God.
I was even more stunned when at the testimony
time she announced that she felt called into full
time missions. I was so excited that Jasmin was
answering Gods call on her life. I praise God
for Jasmin and for her decision. Pray for Jasmin,
her family, and all of the teens as they are
Jasmin in 2013, the last
stepping into adulthood and choosing to live for
time I saw her.
Christ.

#Giving Tuesday
We all know that this time of year is full of family, food, and finding those last minute Christmas
Gifts. First there is Thanksgiving on Thursday, then black Friday shopping, take the weekend to recover
and then its Cyber Monday for all of the online deals. But did you
know there is one more day? Thats right the day after Cyber Monday
is Giving Tuesday. This is a national day to give back to charities,
nonprofits, and missions. This year CEF of Greater Richmond has
decided to join this global movement.
We are asking Christians to help us reach more people with
the Gospel this holiday season by doing
two simple things. First, we want to
give honor to God the giver of every
good and perfect gift, by having Christians share a post, photo or video on
Facebook answering the question
Who lead you to Christ? use the
hashtags #unashamedrva16 and
#givingtuesday. When you share the
post click to donate to CEF of Greater
Richmond and challenge 5 of your
friends to answer the question and
donate. Our goal is to fill Facebook
Share your testimony
#unashamedrva16
with testimonies and to raise $50,000.
This money will ensure that all four of
our staff will have the finances necessary to continue to reach the
children of Greater Richmond with the Gospel. Giving Tuesday is
November 29th. Please pray about and participate in this outreach.
Like CEF of Greater Richmonds Facebook page at
www.facebook.com/cefrva. I will be posting updates, videos, and
much more on our Facebook page. Happy Giving Tuesday.

Good News Club

Good News Clubs are in full swing. There are
currently 68 clubs in the Greater Richmond Area. I
oversee seventeen of these clubs. Since last semester
three new schools have opened to the Gospel in my
area. While I am praising God for the open doors I am
asking all of my partners to please pray for a meeting a
I have on Nov. 14th.
In one of our largest school counties we have about fourteen Good News
Clubs, but it has been very difficult to send registration forms (required for a child
to attend club) to be sent home or even be made available to students. This has
resulted in very small clubs, frustration of team leaders, and even the ending of
several Good News Clubs. On Monday I have a meeting with the new
superintendent of this school system. In the short time he has been in leadership
he has been supportive of Christian programs in schools so I am hopeful. Please
pray that we will be able to send home registration forms in all 38 elementary
schools in this county.
