Watson and the Shark

Watson and the shark is a painting by John Singleton that shows

us a dreadful event. In the painting we can see a shark. The shark is big
and it is hungry. It is waiting for the perfect moment to attack. In the
center of the painting there are nine people in a small and old rowboat.
All of them are wearing old clothes. The people look scared and
desperate, because the shark is trying to eat the naked man in the
water. One of them is trying to kill the shark with an arpon. Also there is
a man in the water. The man is undressed and he is trying to swim in
order to escape from the huge shark, but he cannot. The sea is murky; it
causes troubles to save the naked man. The weather is cloudy, the sky is
dark and it looks like started a terrible storm.
