Contemporary Animators

Aardman Animations
Aardman Animations is British animation studio
that is located in Bristol and was founded 44
years ago in 1977, by Peter Lord and David
Sproxton. They are best known for their films that
used stop motion clay animation techniques.
Some of their famous work is, Wallace and
Gromit, Chicken Run, Morph and Shaun the
Sheep.
They founded Aardman as a low budget project,
for them to achieve their dream of making an
animated motion picture. After they started to
produce short animations, they began to find
more animators, produce longer animations and
even teamed up with more famous animation
studios.
Aardman Animations has won many awards for
their productions. They have won four Oscars for
the Wallace and Gromit series and one of them
was of their short films, which was: Creature
Comforts. Also, they have won multiple Academy
Awards and BAFTAS for their animated films.
What I like about their work, is that they are a
creative and imaginative animation studio that
has received respected global acclaim for their
many pieces of work. They keep me entertained

a lot of time with their comedic and charming

looking productions.
