CRITICAL ISSUES RAISED DUE TO THE INCREASING NUMBER OF
VEHICLES USED WORLDWIDE
Air Pollution that leads to global warming More vehicles means more releases of carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide to the surrounding atmosphere that causes greenhouse effects. Carbon dioxide (C02) is a major constituent of the environment. It is causing a warming effect on the earths surface area. Greenhouse efeects itself means the increases volume of hazardous gases in the earth and eventually contribute to increasing temperature. This phenomenon will caused melting of the ice in north pole and thinning of ozone layer that we usually called global warming. Over the last century, global average temperature has increased by more than 1F (0.7C). The 2001-2010 decade is the warmest since 1880the earliest year for which comprehensive global temperature records were available. In fact, nine of the warmest years on record have occurred in just the last 10 years. This warming has been accompanied by a decrease in very cold days and nights and an increase in extremely hot days and warm nights. Of course, land and ocean temperature is only one way to measure the effects of climate change. A warming world also has the potential to change rainfall and snow patterns, increase droughts and severe storms, reduce lake ice cover, melt glaciers, increase sea levels, and change plant and animal behavior. Depletion of natural gas and petroleum Increasing consumption of natural gas and petroleum, decrease in volume and sources of it. The global oil will not sustain on overpopulated planet that caused the increasing number oil consumption. Years by years, the sources will become lesser and at one point will deplete from the surface of the earth. What happens after depletion of oil? The worst-case oil crash predictions involve soaring gas prices, the end of globalization, widespread anarchy and the relentless exploitation of previously protected drilling sites. Trafic congestion 1
More vehicles on the roads, means more traffic congestions. Traffic
congestion is when vehicles travel at slower speeds because there are more vehicles than the road can handle. This makes trip times longer, and
increases queueing. This is also known as a traffic jam. Everyone has their own vehicles, everyone drive their own car. This is a bad start that will caused air pollution and the worst is global warming.
