I love the stories that I am hearing; however, let me tell yall a story about how Beowulf became a
legend (A hero to his community). Beowulf used to be a normal man that would put forth his future as a
successful young man. He always would learn something new when it came to education and he also wanted
to make sure that he had a goal that he achieve in order to move forward. As much as he dedicated his time
into his school work and future, he was a very selfless person and always wanted to take care of his
community as well. Beowulf contribute to his community here and there to help it become better, but he didn't
become a legend yet. Beowulf has always been one brave, dedicated, and motivated person like a lion that his
community has ever had. This shows that the community didnt have a leader at the time when Beowulf was
getting his education for him to have a career. That was up until Grendel came into the picture. Grendel is a
villain that has been taught to do horrible things to other communities just so other communities can suffer like
the Grendel family has to. Bitterness always wants to ruin a beautiful paradise. As much as Grendel didnt want
to damage another community especially Beowulf's community, he had to because that was what he was
raised to do. Grendels mother would slap her son a billion times if he didnt accomplish what he was suppose
to do. Beowulfs community knew that they needed a leader for their community in order for them to be
protected. The community was alerted that the Grendel family were on their way to attack, so they needed a
leader quick. This caused the community to search for that one person that they believe would protect the
whole community. As Beowulf heard about what was going on, this had him thinking that this was his
opportunity to be able to give back to his community. So he decided to put his education as a back burner and
be able to fight for his community. Beowulf is the type of person where he wouldnt let society bring him down
and stop him from doing what he needs to do. This is exactly why he was chosen to be a protector of the
community. Some people who wanted to become the protector became jealous of Beowulf instead of
supporting him because they couldnt get over the fact that they werent in Beowulf shoes. T
he haters looked at
him with dark bloody eyes. Once again Beowulf doesnt let society bring him down, which meant that instead of
him feeling bad about himself for being chosen. He decided to keep his head up high and continue to do what
he has been chosen to do. Eventually, Beowulf had to face Grendel and had to defeat him otherwise people
would think that Beowulf was the wrong person to choose. Beowulf was in a face to face battle with Grendel
which became a bloodbath for Grendel. Beowulf has ripped the Grendel arm off, which the Grendel was left in
so much blood, and pain which ended up with Grendel leaving the community alone. People wasnt as grateful
for Beowulf until his death. People appreciated him more when he died because they realized that Beowulf
was a unique person that anybody would want for him to protect their community.
