The Transboundary Mines-Tulsequah Chief and the Taku River

The Tulsequah Chief is the poster-child for bad Canadian Mining practices. This
historic mine has been leaking acid mine drainage into the Tulsequah River just
southeast of Juneau, Alaska since 1957. Despite this record of permit violations, the
B.C. government has taken no concreate steps to require clean-up.
