1.OBJECT
The object of this cahiers des charges contained in division B of this series is to complete the drawing with a view
to defining precisely all the conditions of fitness for use determined by the departments responsible for the design
of parts and assemblies.

2.CLASSIFICATION
The classification index numbers are composed of the letter B followed by the figure 2 and five other figures, the
first of which is significant and the other four constitute a serial number.

0 - General
1 Parts with multiple uses
2 - Engine
3 Clutch, gearbox, hydraulic
4 Connection with ground
5 - Electric
6 - Visibility, signals
7 - Safety, comfort
8 Body, fittings
9 Trim, seats

Serial Number

The serial numbers are allocated by the Normalisation Department.


When a cahier des charges is modified, the serial number is retained if the old document is replaced by the new in
all its applications.
If this is not the case, for example if the new document is only applicable for new designs, a new serial number
must be allocated.

3.DRAFTING
3.1.TITLE
The title shown in the upper central box on the first page must, while being as brief as possible, allow easy USE of
the table of contents and the index lists

3.2.CONTENTS
The text must be preceded by a contents list which is sufficiently detailed to allow the norme to be easily consulted.

3.3.PLAN
The first chapter must be the following :
Object (and field of application if applicable),
Reference documents (if applicable),
Expression on documents,
General requirements (if the corresponding norme on general requirements concerning supply is to be
complemented or modified; if not quote this norme in Objects.)
Terminology (if applicable).
The other heading are determined in order to obtain maximum clarity from the documents.

3.4.REFERENCE DOCUMENTS
The index numbers of the national and international normes must be accompanied by the date of issue.
The reference documents must be quoted under a separate heading (see Plan)

3.5.TEST PROCEDURE
The test procedure must be the subject of a specific document in class B3 in both the following cases:
When it is common to several cahier des charges
When it allows the cahier des charges volume to be significantly reduced.

3.6.CONFORMITY TO AN EXTERNAL DOCUMENT


In the case where, following agreement with a manufacturer external to the group, a cahier des charges is in
technical conformity with a document from this manufacturer, this would have to be specified in a foreword.
The box on the lower left hand side of the first page would then contain the instruction "see Foreword".
If this is not the case, it shall contain the information "specific to the group".

3.7.DOCUMENTS REPLACED
When a cahier des charges replaces a PEUGEOT, CITROEN, TALBOT or ASSOCIATION document, this must be
shown in the central box at the foot of the first page.
When it replaces a document having the same classification index number (see Classification), indicates this in a
manner similar to the following sample:

"3 dition : modification to 5.2 et 10.4".

When the serial number is new (see Classification) state the application in accordance with the following
example :
"Replaces cahier des charges B24 2116 for new designs".
