P25 kada linggo. P200 sa uniporme, P500 sa sapatos at may
kung anu-ano pang gamit sa eskwela. Minsan may hinihingi
pang mga kontribusyon ang mga guro na alam nating
ipinagbabawal pero napakahirap masawata.
At kung tatlo o apat ang estudyante sa isang pamilya,
siguradong may magsasakripisyo. Minsan yung nasa

edukasyon.
Makataong puso na iintindi sa tunay na mukha ng
kahirapan sa bansa lalo sa edukasyon. Kailangan ang tunay
na programa na magpapanatili sa ating mahihirap na
kabataan sa paaralan at kamay na bakal para matupad ang
programang ito na walang halong pulitika, kamay na bakal
na sisiguro na ang mga bata ang tatamasa at hindi mga
pulitiko ang kikita.

schools sa elementary at high school.
Katuwang ko sa masusing pagiimbestiga si QC Coun-

Sa aming pag-iimbestiga, nalaman namin na hindi naman
sapilitan ang pagbebenta ng sinasabing mga workbooks pero
dahil nandoon ang mga aralin na tatalakayin ng mga guro
sa klase, napipilitan din ang mga magulang ng mga bata na
humanap ng pera para pambili nito.
Bawal ang ganitong mga gawain at gusto kong maniwala
na nasupil na namin ito sa aming lungsod.
Hindi makatuwiran na kumita ang mga guro, o kung sino
man na may pakana nito, mula sa dati nang naghihirap na
mga magulang.
Huwag na sanang pagkakitaan pa ang edukasyon lalo
ng mahihirap na mga bata. Sana kung may ganito pang
nangyayari sa inyong lungsod ay ipagbigay alam sa mga
kinauukulan sa Department of Education.
Tulungan natin ang ating bansa na mapanatili ang mga
mahihirap na mga bata sa paaralan dahil kailangan nila ng
edukasyon para sa isang maayos na kinabukasan.

Palace fears vacuum in government

was offered the DOTC post.
The vice president-elect, however, said he
was not interested in the post, and that he
prefers to head the Department of the Interior
and Local Government (DILG) where his ex-
pertise as a local official would be useful.
Binay said he would not be able to use his
more than 20 years of experience in local gov-
ernance if he takes on the DOTC.

Every time he leaves the

recreationally, did not encour-
age him to play tennis then.
As fate would have it, the

larly bagged the Davao City
Athletic Association (DCAA)
Championship. He was with
the Ateneo Tennis Varsity up
to fourth year high school, and
competed in various tennis
competitions including the
National Junior Tournament.

PCG warns tourists not to get near Taal Volcano
THE Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has
warned tourists to stay away from the Taal
Volcano crater.
The warning came after the result of the
meeting between the Talisay towns Munici-
pal Disaster Coordinating Council (MDCC)
and the PCG where they also drew up the
evacuation plan once the worlds smallest
volcano shows signs of a major eruption.
Under this plan Barangays Caloocan, Boco,
and Leynes shall exit at Sampaloc Road go-
ing to Tagaytay. Barangays Sta. Maria, Banga,
and Poblacion shall exit Atsungay Road to
Tagaytay. Barangays Quiling and Tumaway
shall exit National Road to Tanauan, Batangas.
The MDCC and PCG said tourists are al-
lowed to go on a boat ride tour only up to
