Analysis & Quote Sandwich Sample

Thesis (so you can get the gist of what my paper is about):
Victor Frankensteins character development traces a biblical arc from Adam, to God, and lastly
to Satan, who is ultimately the truest representation of Victors character.

Body Paragraph: context, integrative words/phrases, the quotation, analysis

Both Alphonse (Victors father) and God grant their sons with access to knowledge that they are
discouraged from pursuing. The book of Genesis, as translated in the New International Version
(NIV) contains an account of Adam and Eves creation that is lacking in Paradise Lost, and
provides this interesting link between Victor and Adam. The NIV narrates that God made for
Adam all kinds of trees grow out of the groundtrees that were pleasing to the eye and good
for food (Gen. 2.9). Alphonses revered family name and push for his sons education are seeds
that grow into the trees of Victors most urgent pursuit, and provide food for his obsessive
thought. The books that spark Victors curiosity in the elusive nature of death are very much
pleasing to his eye, and he is not deterred by his fathers warnings.
