Restaurant and Retailer chains advise calling ahead to specific locations, because they warn that not all franchises
honor the specials offered by their parent organizations.

Applebee's -- All veterans and active-duty military eat free from a limited menu on Veterans Day.
Olive Garden is having a Veterans Day free meal for all veterans on Monday, November 11,
2013.Veterans can choose a free entree from a special menu. All these entrees come with freshly baked
garlic breadsticks and choice of unlimited soup or salad. Find an Olive Garden near you.
Red Robin- Veterans and active duty military can stop into their local Red Robin on Monday, November 11 to get a free Red's Tavern Double burger and Bottomless Steak Fries.
Little Caesars-Stop into a Little Caesar's near you and get a free order of Crazy Bread for Veterans
Day 2013. This is valid for veterans as well as active military members. Bring in proof of service such
as your ID card or DD-214
Chilis -- Veterans and service members can dine for free from a special six-item menu on Veterans Day
Outback Steakhouse -- Outback will offer veterans and military a free Bloomin' Onion and beverage
Subway Restaurants -- Free six-inch sub or flatbread available to military vets on Veterans Day.
Texas Roadhouse -- Free meals available to veterans from opening until 4 p.m. on Veterans Day.

Proof of Military Service. First, most companies require some form of military ID including a U.S. Uniform Services ID Card
(active/reserve/retired), Current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), Photograph in uniform, be wearing uniform (if your service
permits), Veterans Organization Card (e.g., American Legion and VFW), DD214, discharge paperwork, or other form of identification. Other restaurants and companies may only require a photo of you in uniform, or go by the honor system.
