Summary of Research

In order to determine the design of our airlock, we based our design from the
article, Anytime Anywhere Chemistry Experience. It was a basic design in which we
used two bottles, one for the fermentation and the other for the airlock. As the
tubing connects the bottles, the airlock will release the carbon dioxide. Overall, we
decided to use a Gatorade bottle for the airlock.

The demonstration above is how we set up our fermentation.
