Final Summary

Is ethanol a viable alternative to fossil fuels? No, ethanol is not a good alternative to
fossil fuels because of three reasons. First, ethanol is produced from food, and this
will increase the prices of all the food markets because it would be used as an
alternative and possibly as an actual energy source. In addition, ethanol contains
less energy than gasoline, and it will take a lot of energy to produce it. Finally, many
studies have concluded that producing ethanol may increase the emissions of
carbon dioxide.
