The first compartment of the facility
are the containers housing the reading
devices, cabling and appropriate
computers in order to read and import
data from the digital storage media to
be stored. This section of the storage
facility will remain stationary with 25
empty containers until full - where
they will be exported and replenished
with 25 new empty containers.

ELEVATING PLATFORM

PLATFORM
At its unused and dormant state, the
elevating platform meets on the same
plane as the main entry and the
amenities floor. The elevating platform
provides access to the readers - and as
the reader containers begin to fill up,
the platform will elevate higher to
reach the newer forms of technology.
The platform furthermore provides a
bridge that conveniently gives access
to store the redundant digital storage
devices that are being presented to the
facility.

STORAGE FOR STORAGE

After your device has been read by the
corresponding readers, the digital
storage device needs to be stored into
the vaults. Each container houses
either one type of storage device, or
similar devices. As it is being
presented, a mechanical 3 axis arm
collects the device and stores it
accordingly. When the container is
completely filled, it will be anchored,
raised, shifted and exported by the
crane structure that extends off-shore
onto a container ship.
