Parable of the Sower (Reflection)

The parable of the sower was about a farmer who went out to sow his seeds and was scattering it
across the land. Some seeds fell on the rocky path, it grew quickly but died immediately because
there wasnt any soil and it had no roots. Some seeds fell along the thorns which grew and
choked the plants. Some seeds fell on the good soil which produced crops, sixty times of what
was sown. So for me, what the parable of the sower really means is that when people come out to
hear the word of God but they do not understand and apply it to their daily lives, evil takes away
the faith that was sown in their hearts. The seeds that fell on the different kinds of path represent
the kinds of people who comes out to listen to the word of God. The seeds that fell on the rocky
path are the kind of people that listens the word of God and receives it happily but since they
have no roots, the faith in their hearts fades quickly and they are not able to apply the word of
God to their everyday lives. Their faith in Gods word is not that strong. The seeds that fell along
the thorns are the kind of people that listens the word of God but they still contain worries and
doubts. They give more importance to money because they believe it what keeps them alive and
happy. They are tied down by money, it is blocking them to fully believe in the word of God and
apply it to their daily lives. Lastly, the seeds that fell on the good soil are the kind of people that
listens to the word of God and they understand it and apply it to their lives. The kind of people
that works hard and prays hard to be able to produce crops sixty times of what was sown. They
make every decision based on Gods words. It is the center of their lives.
