Western Region Joint Organizations Meeting

Irvine, California
The Right Reverend Bishop JOSEPH led us in an opening prayer.
President Edward Malouf called the meeting to order at 2:09 P.M.
The Right Re verend Protosyngellos Paul Doyle made a special presentation of a
Trikirion and Dhikirion to His Grace, Bishop JOSEPH for his 10th Anniversary of
his Episcopacy on behalf of the Clergy and Organizations of the Western Region.
Dr. C. Frederick Milkie made a presentation about the 2001 Archdiocese
Convention in Los Angeles, California at the Century Plaza Hotel & Spa from July
23-29, 2001.
Edward Malouf announced that the Fall Delegates Meeting will take place
November 2 -4 hosted by St. Raphael Mission in Palm Springs.
Juliana Turk, Western Region SOYO President-Elect, gave us a report on the
current status of the Western Region SOYO. She introduced the 2001-2002
Officers.
The Very Reverend Father John Braun and Hazel Nassir made a presentation on
all the details regarding the 2002 Parish Life Conference hosted by St. Anthony
Church in La Jolla, California.
The Reverend Father John Finley made a presentation about the Western
Region Website.
Edward Malouf, President of the Western Region Fellowship of St. John the
Divine, reported on the current status of the Western Region Fellowship. He
introduced the 2001-2003 Officers.
The Reverend Father Christopher Salamy and Michael Srour gave a
presentation on the 2003 Parish Life Conference hosted by St. George in
Phoenix, Arizona.
Danny Andrews moved to accept the Radisson Hotel with the $89 per night room
rate for the 2003 Parish Life Conference. Seconded by Bill Kroah. MOTION
PASSED.

Lucy Hanna, President of the Western Region Antiochian Orthodox Christian

Women of North America, gave a report on the current status of the Western
Region AOCWNA. She introduced the 2001-2003 Officers.
The Reverend Father John Finley reported on the Western Region Department
of Missions and Evangelism.
The Right Reverend Bishop JOSEPH expressed his thanks for the gift presented
to him. He addressed the importance of coming together at these events.
Danny Andrews, President of the Western Region Order of St. Ignatius of
Antioch, gave a report on the status of the Western Region Order.
The meeting was adjourned at 3:05 P.M.
