Auden was one name I got excited over), and was known for its open approach to learning. Frankfurt School: a school of social theory similar to Marxism. Hannah Arendt: (1906-1975) a German, Jewish American Political theorist. She escaped to America during the Holocaust. Her work deals with power, politics, democracy, authority, and totalitarianism. Progressive education: an educational framework in which students are encouraged to take a greater part in their learning experience. Aristotle: an ancient Greek philosopher and scientist. Augustine: and early Christian theologian and philosopher.
