greek historian Herodotus and also the place where the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, one of

Alexander the Great conquered the town in 334 B.C., without destroying it. As a place where
people lived for thousands of years, Bodrum has an incredibly rich past. Its position near

Myndos Gate is all that was preserved from the old city walls, Halicarnassus, the Bodrum
