Countdown to Thanksgiving

Calendar Project
AFM Test Grade
Due Thursday, November 10

(8 points off for every day it is late)

Requirements:
1) Work out each of the given problems on a separate sheet of paper. (To be turned
in with project).
2) Match the answer with a date on the November Calendar (26 days).
3) Create a calendar (must be in numerical order) and write the problem
with ALL work shown on the matching calendar date. ALL steps must
be shown (no short cuts). The answer to the problem will be the
date.
4) There will be eight dates left open. You will create your own problems to fill up
the 8 dates that are missing. You must create 2 questions from each unit.
Points will be awarded by level of difficulty 1, 3, or 5 points. Place those
problems with their corresponding date on the calendar. All answers must be
exact or directions to round must be included in your problem.
5) Be sure you provide all work for each problem, including your created problems.
6) Return this sheet with all work attached along with your calendar. Projects will
not be returned.
Grading:
1) Each one of the already created problems will be worth 3 points each.
No work, no credit!
2) Each created-by-you problem is worth up to 5 points each, based on the level of
difficulty and all 8 must be different in nature (2 per unit). Again, no work, no
credit!
2) Neatness and creativity in work and display is worth 10 points.

Total possible points: 104


4) If your only contribution is in the display of the project, you will only earn up to
the possible 10 creativity/neatness points. (In other words, everyone must do the
Math!!!)
