I am about to share a small rough idea of mine which needs remodeling and redoing
the idea itself.
From time immemorial, we have used and derived proteins from species like E.Coli
and Bovine cells. The phenylalanine dehydratase defect which occurs in
phenylketonuria which if untreated causes brain and nerve damage concerns me.
The inborn error of metabolism should be detected by the PKU test in newborns. But
induced pre-mRNA splicing can remove the defective bases and insert the correct
bases in the presence of a signal. An induction signal, can be engineered by
studying the cellular responses, while splicing and inserting and attaching can be
done by local endonucleases and ligases present in the system which may furthur
work in the presence of a signalling protein or a secondary messenger.
The induction signal is a blank which needs research, tedious process of relearning, trial and error and lastly patience to succeed, like any small idea would
require.
