My name is Krystal Angel and I have known Mayra Cruz-Gonzalez for about 3 years. She was a student of
mine at El Capitan High School, where I am a Mathematics teacher. This is a position, in which I have
held for over 2 years, and two years elsewhere.
I am writing to recommend that you consider Mayra Cruz for any or all scholarships in which she meets
requirements. In my few years of experience, some individuals stand out for their great qualities and
Mayra is one of those people. She is well known for her responsible, hardworking, and independent
personality. She is well respected throughout the classroom as a student who is on time, helps out, and
is always working harder to better herself. She always makes it a point to communicate any problems
or concerns she has. Mayra has big goals of not only getting her BA, and R.N. but she also wants to
eventually continue school to get a masters. She currently holds a 3.3 GPA.
In summation, due to her great attitude, dedication, and excellent potential, I would heartily
recommend that you accept Mayra for for any and all scholarships so that she she can further her
education and reach her goals to get her BA, and become a R.N. I am sure that she will not let you
