BACKGROUND:
These days the political ADs fuel the political games and rhetoric.
Rhetoric has become this dramatized and quite ugly persuasive
style that has 1) spur strong feelings against the other candidates
2) rally followers for the candidates political cry 3) Polarize the
Nation 4) demonize the opposer
The ADS themselves are constructed with such dramatic flair that
some critics have come up with the template design to mock the
current campaign advertisements. In our #TRUTHCAMPAIGN ad
portion of our Election, we are going to IMPROVE THIS.
We are going to DISRUPT this and present a new version of
campaign ads.
DIRECTIONS:
As a Field Team, you will be creating a #TruthCampaign Video that
addresses your topics and reveals the Validity of the topics behind
the smoke screen of political rhetoric.

Donald Trump claims that
thousands of jobs are leaving
Michigan. In fact, the state's
unemployment rate has declined in
recent years, according to the
Bureau of Labor Statistics. That
figure now stands around 4.5
percent, down from a 14.9 percent
unemployment rate in June 2009.

An examination of the past 30 years
of U.S. economic performance
offers no evidence that a rising level
of imports or growing trade deficits
have negatively affected the U.S.
economy. In fact, since 1980, the
U.S. economy has grown more than
three times faster during periods
when the trade deficit was
expanding as a share of GDP
compared to periods when it was
contracting. Stock market
appreciation, manufacturing output,
and job growth were all
significantly more robust during
periods of expanding imports and
trade deficits. (Fact Check, Dan
Griswold article)
