CLASSROOM PROCEDURES
Start of class:

Turn in homework (in designated area)

Read/write for first fifteen minutes of class
Questions, comments, concerns

During class:

Work on classwork/homework
Ask questions!
Contribute in class discussions and group work

End of class:

Clean area around you

Stay in desk, until I dismiss you
Push your chair in under the desk

CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS
Be creative!
Try your best!
Care for others
Raise your hand to speak in class.
Be honest
Use complete sentences in assignments and class discussions.

Reward/Opportunities
Student of the month
Once a month there will be one student from each class nominated for
student of the month. Every second to last Thursday of every month a
student from each class will be nominated to compete for the last week of
the month to be student of the month against the other nominees.
Qualifications: overall

Homework
Grades
Effort
In class performance
Behavior

A call or letter home to parent/guardian

Entire classroom recognition on bulletin board
A student of the month certificate
Special privilege*
* under teachers discretion

Reward:

Late work policy

Late work policy is:

10 % off per week

After four weeks of original assignment due date, the maximum
points that will be given is 50 %
Original due date and the day you turned in the work noted on
work
Place late work in late work bin

If pattern of late work occurs, parents will be notified by either

call home/letter/email
