International Dance

GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS


1. Competition is open to the following programs: HRM and TM who are bona fide students of
JIB-IS.
2. Each team must be composed of 8-10 members, regardless of the gender.
3. There are 8 selected countries coming from North America and the Caribbean (Bahamas,
Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Jamaica, Puerto Rico).

5. Each team must be given a minimum of four (4) minutes and a maximum of six (6)
minutes presentation including the entrance and the exit. Specific dance must be given by
the organizer (Mr. Daveson B. Erebaren) during the orientation. Time starts at the first
organized dance movement and/or at the start of music whichever comes first.
6. The music must be submitted on November 18, 2016.
7. The team is given the free will to choose their own costume but it must be related to the
type of national dance for the contest. Explicit vulgarities in dance steps and costumes are
not allowed.
8. Standard props may be used but not liquids, flammable materials, or any material that
may cause injury to the performers and the viewing public.
9. The order of presentation will be settled through draw lots.
10.Each team must be on the c ompetition area thirty (30) minutes prior to the contest
proper. Participants or team who will be late in the contest proper will deduct two (2)
points from the over-all score.
