I wish to apply for the faculty position in the Department of Chemistry at Islamic University of
Technology advertised in the October 16th issue of BDjob.com. Currently, I am a doctoral
student at the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in the Department of Civil
Engineering at the laboratory of microstructure analysis of concrete. My thesis is submitted for
examination after fulfill the requirement of the university.
My primary research goals are directed toward understanding the basic characteristics of palm
oil mill waste using micro analytical methods. I have justified the feasibility of palm oil clinker
powder as a supplementary cementitious materials in cement-based applications. My future
research plans are aimed to incorporate nano particle in cement-based applications and
geopolymer. Beyond my research successes (including 3 papers published in the Q1 journal, 3
papers under review and 5 papers in preparation), I have been fortunate to obtain a teaching
assistant and research assistant in the High Impact Research project of the University of Malaya.
Moreover, I have seven years professional experience as quality control manager or chemist at
the cement plants in Bangladesh.
