Interior design is a serious and multifaceted profession that includes
conceptual development, space planning and wise utilization, site visitation as for communicating with stakeholders of a project, construction management, and execution of architectural interior designs and their furnishings. It is an art and science of altering spaces to meet the needs of the people that will utilize it wherein, the designer may work on a project from the initial planning stage or may work on remodelling of an existing structure. In the study, San Juan Childrens Center was chosen to be the main subject to work on, in which the latter process was successfully executed. The main objectives were to identify the needs for renovation of the interior to achieve a better environment for learning of students and teachers and to further improve and develop interior designs utilizing the modern-minimalist style. The experience of interior space was shaped through the manipulation of spatial volume as well as the surface treatment for the betterment of user functionality. Several rooms and buildings were subjected to careful analysis as principals office, library room, computer room, canteen, faculty lounge, auditorium, hallways and classrooms. The proponent redesigned them from strategic one through giving emphasis on planning of functional design and arranging basic layout of spaces within a building that require an understanding of technical issues such as window, acoustics, interior furniture and decorations and even lighting. However, the safety and comfort of students, teachers and all staffs of San Juan Childrens Center are the top priorities on executing designs and school interiors style.
