Re-take Policy:
Only summative assessments (final tests, projects, final essays/reflections, papers) are eligible for re-takes. Not
quizzes, presentations, or classwork.
Students may retake a summative assessment one time.
Re-takes are scheduled with the teacher and will likely take place after school, before school, or during intervention
period. Retakes should typically not be offered during class time so that students do not miss new material.
Students may retake an assessment if they scored between 0 5 (IB grade) or a letter grade of B or lower.
Students must complete a study plan and return it to their teacher within two days of receiving the summative
assessment grade to be eligible to retake an assessment. Every effort should be made for the student to take the
retake within a week.
