How to Study
for Tests

ests are a way for you and your teacher to measure how well
you have learned the material covered in class. Think of
them as challenge!

BEFORE THE TEST

If possible, find out what material the test will cover, and what type of test
it will be (multiple choice, true or false, short answer or essay).
2. Study at a time when you are alert and not hungry or sleepy.
3. Dont wait until the last minute! Short, daily study sessions are better than
cramming the night before the test.
4. Set a goal for each study period. If you are being tested on three chapters,
set up four study sessions, one for each chapter and one for a review of all three.
5. Repeat, repeat, repeat! Read and reread your notes and the key
parts of the textbook.

6. While reviewing your notes, cover them up and summarize them out loud.
