COMP 102: CSI KITTY EPISODE

1. Do you think that investing in a "Smart House" like the one in

the episode is worth it?
I dont think that it is smart to be investing in a Smart House. Although it is cool to have
one, someone could still outsmart the smart house and take your valuables.
2. With the development of devices being turned into "Smart" devices,
what innovation would you like to see in the near future?
Id like to see innovations in medical devices and technologies (e.g. CT scan, ultrasound
machines) that would help the less fortunate ones get easier access to the devices without
having to spend too much.
3. What do you think are the dangers of the internet that was shown
in the episode?
One of the dangers I saw on the episode was about the security of the personal
information. Someone knowing such information could get in to your life and play with your
emotions to get what s/he wants.
4. Do you agree that there should be a separate form of currency
to be used online?
Yes, since the values for each currency differ, it would be a good idea to have a cyber
currency.
5. What do you think are the things that you could do to prevent
what happened to "KITTY" from happening to you?
I would be less open about my personal information in the cyberworld and keep my
accounts private.
6. Based on your computing habits, do you think that you are safe
when you are online?
No. I cant remember what I have written on the social media years ago, and Facebook
could still make compilations of throwback pictures, count my likes, etc., and I get surprised as I
discover the power of technology.
7. Do you think cybercrime criminals are appropriately detected and
prosecuted in our country?
No. these criminals can still be proved innocent because their evidences could easily be
hidden online.
