laws involving suicide prevention in schools and how to serve
students who have suicidal thoughts or tendencies.

Transgender Issues for Schools Workshop, 2016


This workshop covered information on current laws regarding
transgender students, their rights, and their parents rights that I
use to best serve GSA students.
Grade Multiple Disciplinary Performance Task, 2015, 2016
In the spring semester of these years, a group of colleagues and I
scored the MDPT test, which is the writing component of the
Kansas State Assessment.

- Worked with two at-risk Minnesota high schools to meet writing
proficiency standards by working as a team to score Strategic
Instruction Model writing assessments
- Collected and interpreted data about writing assessments and
then shared that with project directors
- Took leadership role in decision making with other scorers; acted
as connection between scorers and directors to communicate
those decisions
Kansas Cable Telecommunications Horizon Award Nominee, 2014
The Horizon Award recognizes excellent novice teachers who
demonstrate exemplary teaching in elementary and secondary
classrooms.
